There are many places to spot kangaroos in Australia. But there are not many places where you can sleep among the kangaroos. During our trip from Cairns to Melbourne we slept in Eden a coastal town in the South Coast region of New South Wales. Our stay at Eden Gateway Holiday Park was magical because there were many kangaroos around our accommodation. Read our experiences about Eden Gateway Holiday Park now.

Eden Gateway Holiday Park

We had chosen for Eden Gateway Holiday Park because of the location, reviews (score 8.6) and price. This holiday park is about 50 square metres with an outdoor swimming pool, Wi-Fi and a children’s playground. The villa was very clean and had all the facilities that we needed.

Sleeping among the kangaroos

The most special thing about Gateway Holiday Park is that there are many kangaroos in the park. When we woke up we could immediately look out the windows to see jumping kangaroos. I think there were at least 20 kangaroos that day. What a nice experience!

The kangaroos will not be there every day. But in this park, there is a good chance of spotting them.
